No, the organizer will not provide a pedal. Contestants should bring their own piano pedal and must install and remove it by themselves.

Yes, if a contestant forfeits their ranking, it will be filled by the next eligible contestant, and the final arrangement will be decided by the judging panel.
Yes, each contestant will receive a ranking certificate, and the top three will also receive a crystal trophy.
Only one contestant needs to submit the registration form and fee, but both contestants' information must be included on the form.

In some categories that allow multiple registrations, participants can sign up for multiple categories. For more details, please contact the organizer.
Since different categories have specific repertoire restrictions, it is recommended to consult a piano teacher or contact the organizing committee for advice.

Contestants MUST bring original or copy music score for adjudicators' reference and it will be returned immediately after the performance. Photocopies of score are acceptable if the contestant needs to read the score during the competition.
Exceeding the time may result in the judges stopping the performance, but it will not affect the score. The judges' final decision will prevail.
Contestants must ensure that their registration information is correct. Once submitted, any changes must be communicated to the registration center at least 7 days before the competition date. Late requests will not be accepted. Each change will incur an administrative fee of HKD200.
Only the open categories (open rising stars age group, open grades piano solo group, open repertoire group, open piano duet group) will have results announced on the same day. Results for the China final categories (professional group and amateur required repertoire group) will not be announced on the day of the competition. The open non-competitive performance group will not have rankings or scores.
The final list of contestants will be published on the official Steinway competition website within two weeks after all preliminary rounds are completed.
Contestants in China categories will receive participation certificates in the preliminary round. The open rising stars age group, open graded piano solo group, open repertoire group and open piano duet group will receive ranking certificates and scoring sheets. The open non-competitive performance group will receive feedback sheets and showcase certificates.

All certificates will be distributed on the day of the competition and will not be reissued.
Each contestant may bring a maximum of one accompanying adult into the competition venue. The organizer will determine whether spectators are allowed based on the specific competition venue.
Contestants in the preliminary rounds of the China final categories for the Hong Kong-Macau region do not need to memorize the pieces, but contestants MUST do so in the finals. All contestants in the open categories do not need to memorize the pieces.

1) In case of raining / Thunderstorm Warning / Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal / Red Rainstorm Warning Signal / Standby Signal No.1 / Strong Wind Signal No.3 is / are hoisted: The Competition will remain as scheduled
2) In case of Black Rainstorm Warning Signal / No.8 or above Gale or Storm Signal is / are hoisted: The competition will be postponed and we will contact affected contestants.
During the Competition*
1) In case of raining / Thunderstorm Warning / Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal / Red Rainstorm Warning Signal / Standby Signal No.1 / Strong Wind Signal No.3 is / are hoisted: The Competition will remain as scheduled
2) In case of Black Rainstorm Warning Signal / No.8 or above Gale or Storm Signal is / are hoisted: The Competition will keep on-going if it is started
